Good to know

From 15th November to 15th April winter equipment is mandatory on all roads covered with snow. Minimum one pair of chains must be fitted on an axle load. All coaches and trucks should be equipped with snow shovels. The minimum tread depth is 4 mm.

Dipped headlights: The use of dipped headlights is mandatory 24h all year round.

The maximum blood-alcohol content: 0,03‰

Examples of fines collected on the spot for the following road offences:

• not using seat belts – 7,5 Euro
• forcing the right of way – up to 25 Euro
• speeding – up to 100 Euro
• incorrect parking – up to 50 Euro
